Oboe & English horn duets
Reading through Oboe and English horn duets are a great way for students to learn to become more comfortable with the instrument. Most young students don’t have a lot of experience playing English horn in their school’s band or orchestra program. So when kids start playing the larger instrument it can be a struggle sometimes. If you are a private lesson teacher, I would suggest playing through some of these duets with your students. Over time you will start to see them become more confident with the instrument and they will be able to transfer that confidence into the orchestral and band setting.
